Caroline Wollman, DVM
Caroline (Cari) Wollman, DVM grew up in the beautiful horse country of Newtown, Connecticut. Between having a menagerie of animals at home, falling in love with horses and having two physician parents, veterinary medicine was a natural passion for Dr. Wollman. She got her first horse when she was 13, which only solidified her desire to become an equine veterinarian. Dr. Wollman studied Biological Sciences at Cornell University then spent a year working in a small animal specialty hospital. She attended Colorado State University, graduating with her DVM in 2023. Dr. Wollman spent her first year of practice at an equine general practice in the Seattle area. She gained skills in all aspects of equine medicine, including dentistry, lameness, reproduction and emergency medicine. While she has loved her time out West, Dr. Wollman is eager to come back to her roots in New England and join Sugar Run Equine! She enjoys all aspects of equine general practice, especially dentistry, ophthalmology and reproduction. Dr. Wollman spends her free time skiing, hiking, reading and riding. She is excited to explore Vermont with her partner and go on trail rides with her longtime equine companion, Cody, a Hanoverian-Thoroughbred gelding.
SAM SEQUIST
Born in New Hampshire, Sam moved to Vermont at a young age. She has been an equine enthusiast her entire life and got her first pony at 6 years old. Sam has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an English Minor from University of Vermont. In 2002 she moved to Stowe for a career in marketing. Sam’s father-in-law, Dave, started what is now Sugar Run Equine and we are so lucky to have added her to our team in May of 2021. When she’s not at work, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters on their beautiful farm, Brighter Side Stables with their horses, goats, dogs, cats and foster pets. They also enjoy traveling as a family and spending time on the beach.
Teresa Rosa
Hailing from Massachusetts, Teresa moved to Vermont as a young adult to train horses. Horses were introduced early in her life and, as they say, the rest is history. Teresa has a bachelor’s degree in Equine Science from Williamswood University. She started with the practice in May of 2021 and has been an asset to our team. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with her partner, hiking with their dogs, cooking, eating, traveling and going to the beach.
Amy Vogel
Amy resides in Maryland, she first met Dr. Wagner as an associate veterinarian in Pennsylvania in 2012 where they worked together. With over a decade of veterinary practice management experience and a lifetime with horses, Amy is bringing new light to the business side of things. Amy started working part time in early 2023 and is looking forward to expanding her role here. In her spare time, she can be found camping or just enjoying the outdoors with her husband and 2 children.
Robert Wagner
"Robbie" is a Vermont Native. Born in the wild, he was rescued by our very own, Sam Sequist. Sam took time to tame the wild, ferocious beast that was our feral Robbie. He has come a long way from his origin in the woods and seems to be adjusting to the working-man lifestyle. Monday - Friday you will find him at the clinic working hard to keep the printer protected, the staff comforted and the rodent population non existent. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors along with the creature comforts of the couch. We feel lucky to have Robbie as a part of the team and cannot thank him enough for his tireless efforts!
